Steeped in history, the story of Abbeyfield
Hotel goes back over 200 years to C18.
There is documentary evidence of the "Tal-y-Bont public house
and land" known as the George and Dragon dating back to 1803,
when the tennants were John Owen and Owen Ellis, probably renting
from the Penrhyn estate.
Prior to this, circa 1760 there was a working
farm, again belonging to the Penrhyn estate.
